Michael champions energy efficiency projects for healthcare, commercial, and federal clients.
He collaborates with a team of energy engineers to provide his clients with sustainable solutions for managing energy costs and improving asset value.
I do what I do because reducing energy costs and making businesses more sustainable is important. Every bit counts. If you look at energy use per capita across the U.S., California’s energy use has gone down over the last five years while every other state’s energy use has gone up. We have contributed to that.”
With over 25 years of experience, Michael has been involved in every phase of energy efficiency projects from development and design to implementation and analysis. His recent work includes developing, planning, and managing a design-build energy efficiency retrofit program for a leading healthcare organization in Northern California. Michael also has an in-depth knowledge of utilities and utility programs, from his nine-year career as a PG&E Energy Solutions Lead for the Medical, Federal, and Institutional sectors.
Michael has been instrumental in expanding Enovity’s healthcare energy efficiency programs and helping clients find ways to make existing hospitals run more efficiently.
There is so much opportunity for energy efficiency in hospitals. It can be difficult to overcome some of the regulatory and critical system challenges inherent in healthcare facilities, but our team has the solutions and expertise to navigate through these challenges and be successful.”
The son of a submarine and spacecraft engineer, Michael was passionate about innovation and the built environment from a young age. He began his engineering career in 1991 in the Bay Area, developing energy efficiency projects for local firms and PG&E before joining Enovity.
