    DAN MORELOCK

    HVAC TECHNICAL MANAGER

Dan coaxes better performance out of complex mechanical systems by engaging designers, builders, and operators in collaborative problem solving.

His role offers him the opportunity to tackle Enovity's most technically challenging projects, while also mentoring younger engineers and sharing expertise across the firm's practice groups.

Throughout his 30+ year career, Dan has worked as a stationary engineer, construction project manager, facility manager, and commissioning engineer, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the challenges facing today's owners and operators.

We're seeing today's highly efficient HVAC designs that feature high-tech equipment and sophisticated sequences of operation; so sophisticated that many operators (and even some of the factory techs) don't understand how they work as a system. That's a barrier we have to cross if these projects are going to live up to their potential."

With his background as an operating engineer and facility manager, Dan brings a pragmatic point of view and practical approach to problem solving. This trait is especially valuable during the late-stage "crunch time" on construction projects, when the combination of technical expertise and people skills is essential.

Construction team members are most comfortable operating 'inside the box'— in other words, design conditions—but in the real world, buildings don't always operate within design conditions. That's when we help the team find common ground and consider solutions that may be a little outside the box."
