What is a Building Automation System?
Building Automation Systems (BAS) have revolutionized the way buildings are controlled today. Over the past 15 years electronic controls and microprocessors, called direct digital controls (DDC) have been developed to run everything from HVAC systems to lighting systems to life/safety and security systems. These devices are programmed to automate many functions and processing speeds easily facilitate the simultaneous operation of all of the complex systems found in building today.
Enovity is a technology-focused company and many of our facility initiatives revolve around a thorough understanding of DDC BAS, their capabilities and their application in the industry today.
