Building Commissioning
As an established provider of commissioning services, Enovity is known for our highly technical expertise, our thorough management approach, and our consistently successful turn-over of completed buildings. Our work as the Owner’s Commissioning Authority has encompassed a wide range of commercial and institutional facilities throughout the Western U.S. We perform commissioning to the industry standards as defined by LEED, the Building Commissioning Association, the AABC Commissioning Group, and AHSRAE. Our LEED Commissioning experience includes LEED for New Construction (2009 BD+C and NC 2.2), LEED for Core & Shell, and LEED for Commercial Interiors projects executed over the past eight years. We also regularly perform “total building systems commissioning” for electrical systems (generators, ATS, UPS, and switchgear), fire and life safety systems, plumbing systems, building envelope, security and access controls, CCTV, paging and telecomm systems, solar photovoltaic and hot water systems, and special systems such as underfloor HVAC and chilled beam systems.
Enovity is an established leader in commissioning of existing buildings: retrocommissioning, monitoring-based commissioning, and commissioning for LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance. Principals and key staff have worked on ten utility and/or government-funded retrocommissioning programs in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii, with more than 200 buildings commissioned since 1997. Our existing building commissioning approach is based on developing a thorough understanding of the current operation of a facility’s mechanical, electrical systems, and automated controls systems and is focused on identifying strategies to optimize the performance of these systems. As an A, B, C-10, and C-20 licensed contractor in the State of California, we also bring direct experience with turnkey implementation of retrocommissioning recommendations. Our implementation experience “informs” our retrocommissioning work with real-world practical, cost-effective, and achievable energy savings. We bring expertise in project cost control, implementation management / oversight, and design / specification of specific energy efficiency and renewable energy measures.
